In this teaching, we discuss one of the extraordinary stories in Jesus’ ministry, where Mary anoints Jesus with perfume. It is extraordinary because it was very unexpected and quite shocking to all who were present. In this expression of love from Mary, we are challenged as to how much we truly love Jesus. How much is He worth to us?
Mary modeled the fullness of surrender before the Lord, and, unless we have such a spirit, we will never have the glad heart that Jesus offers to us.
