The Battle Belongs to The Lord
Someday, every one of us will face a crisis that feels bigger than we are. In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat receives word that an overwhelming army is approaching Judah. He is afraid—but instead of allowing fear to control him, he sets his face to seek the Lord.
This message follows Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah through every stage of the crisis: before it arrives, while they wait, after God speaks, during the battle, and after God brings deliverance. At every stage, they respond to God in worship.
Worship in this passage is much more than music. It includes seeking God, fasting, gathering with His people, praying, remembering His promises, hearing His Word, believing, obeying, praising, and giving thanks.
The main truth of this message is: When the battles of life are bigger than us, worship is the posture through which we seek God’s presence, hear His Word, trust His promises, and experience His power.
You may not know what to do. You may feel powerless against what is coming. But you can still say with Jehoshaphat: “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
The battle is not yours. The battle belongs to the Lord.
