Are You Ready to Throw in the Towel?
That which is gained speedily by a single prayer is sometimes only a second-rate blessing; but that which is gained after many a desperate tug, and many an awful struggle, is a full-weighted and precious blessing.
— Charles Spurgeon (Prayer and Spiritual Warfare, p.69) Tweet
None of us are worthy of gifts from God. Any gift from God is one that is undeserved. If God gives to us, it is an act of grace and a precious blessing. How much more precious is the gift that has been prayed for night after night, month after month, and year after year! When finally the day comes, God’s angel delivers God’s answer to your many pleadings (Daniel 9:23 & 10:12-13). There are no words that can describe such joy and inner celebration. It was a journey of faith that has been rewarded and God is glorified in a great way. And how deep is the gratitude and appreciation inside!
What a great God we have, that through struggling, and waiting, and pleading, and doubting, and fearing, and loud tears, He has so great a love and grace to give, and not only give, but give abundantly. Only God could make the difficulty of a thing be a cause for joy. Glory is greater when there is a cross and tomb in the path.
Have you been thirsting and seeking for something from the hand of God that has yet to come?Something you know could come only from Him, yet He waits and waits and waits.I urge you to continue in your praying.
Pray, pray, pray!
Believe!
Nothing you desire is too great for God or beyond His power, or even too small for His concern. “He is faithful to all of His promises and loving toward all He has made.” The day you are waiting for will come, and what an amazing and life changing day that will be! How treasured will your answer be at it’s appearing!
Don’t give up!
