THE BIBLE

The Bible is the very Word of God, the Truth, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, unfailing, without error, and the final authority for faith and life. (Matthew 4:4,7,10; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Ephesians 2:20; Romans 3:2; Romans 15:4; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 1:1-2)

GOD

There is one God. He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is all knowing, all powerful, beyond our understanding, sovereign, working all things according to His own will for His own glory. He eternally exist in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (1 Corinthians 8:4-6; Jeremiah 10:10; Ephesians 1:11; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6)

JESUS

Jesus is the only Son of God, God in the flesh, the living Word of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for sin. He is the Mediator between God and man, the head of the Church, and the Judge of the world. He is returning again to reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. (John 3:16; Hebrews 1:2; Luke 1:33; Ephesians 5:23; Acts 17:31; Romans 3:23-25; Luke 1:27,31,35; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 2:5; John 5:22,27)

HOLY SPIRIT

God the Holy Spirit has come to reveal and glorify Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of sin. He regenerates sinners, leading them to repentance and faith. He is the seal of our salvation and the guarantee of our inheritance in Christ. He indwells, empowers, instructs, guides, gifts, and equips God’s people for life and service. (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8; Acts 4:31; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 2:13; Galatians 5:1-18; Ephesians 1:13-14)

SIN

Man is created in the image of God, but because of Adam’s sin, all mankind is under divine condemnation and separated from God. Because of sin, man is unable to please God or make himself right with God. Therefore, man is in need of the Holy Spirit to open his eyes that he might repent, believe in Jesus, and be saved. (Genesis 3:13; Ephesians 2:1; Romans 5:12,15-19; Genesis 6:5; Romans 3:10-12; Romans 3:23; James 1:14-15; 2 Corinthians 4:4)

SALVATION

Salvation is a gift of God. There is nothing a person can do to earn or merit salvation. Only by repenting of sin and trusting in Jesus as God’s perfect sacrifice, can a person be saved. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for His glory alone.  (Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23-25; Romans 5:21; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 2:4-5)

RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS

Jesus Christ is returning again, and He will come to judge the world and to establish His Kingdom in the new heaven and the new earth. There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost; the saved to eternal life, and the lost to eternal punishment in hell.  (Acts 3:21; Romans 8:20-21, 1 Corinthians 15:24-28,51-56; Matthew 24:30-31; Matthew 25:31-46; John 14:1-4, Revelation 20:11-15)

THE CHURCH

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, which is His Body. His Church is composed of all people, living and dead, who have trusted in Him. God commands His people to gather together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for mutual edification and encouragement through the Word of God. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13,27; Ephesians 1:10,22-23; Ephesians 5:23,27,32; 1 Corinthians 1:2; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Revelation 7:9; Acts 2:39; Matthew 13:47; 1 Corinthians 12:28)

GREAT COMMISSION

It is God’s purpose to save sinners from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is God’s means of bringing salvation to His people. The Church is commissioned to preach and teach this Gospel to all nations. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Matthew 24:14; Luke 24:46-47; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-10; Revelation 7:9; Acts 2:39; 1 Peter 3:15; Romans 10:14-15; Matthew 13:47)

CHRISTIAN SERVICE

Every Christian is called to live a life worthy of the Gospel, be dedicated to prayer and service of our Lord, and proclaim the love of Christ in word and deed for the good of all people. (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-40; Philippians 1:27; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-15; 1 John 3:16-18; Isaiah 58; James 2:14-17; Colossians 2:6-7; 1 Peter 3:15; Philippians 2:2-5)
